Spartans show improvement at the Bolingbrook Fast Times Meet.

The Romeoville Spartans Men’s track team competed at the Bolingbrook Fast times meet on Saturday, March 22^nd.  There were no team scores keep for this meet, but the Spartans fared well.  The Spartans had 3 individuals win their respective events.  Mitch LaFond won the high jump with a height of 6’.  Prosper Osinloye won the shot put with a throw of 50’7”.  D’Aaron Williams won the 55 m dash with a blistering time of 6.51.  Curshaun Pruitt placed 2^nd in the Triple jump with a distance of 41’6”.  The 4 x 800 team of Mike Samuelson, Luis Loza, Armando Cortez and James Boyd also finished 2^nd with a time of 8:45.23.  Kelvin Jones finished 3^rd in the Shot put with a distance of 49’.  D’Lante Dawson placed 3^rd in the 200m with a time of 23.54.  Luis Loza placed 3^rd in the 800m run with a time of 2:03.07.  The 4 x 200m team of Dawson, Williams, Miguel Ford and Chris Edmondson also placed 3^rd on the day.  There were also some great performances from individuals who hit season Pr's for the meet.  Dave ANdrews ran 10:57 in 3200m run and Mat Bush ran a 10:47.  Justin Suits ran 4:56 in the 1600m run and Mike Samuelson hit 4:54.  Armando COrtez ran 2:08.21 in the 800m run.
