The Spartans ended their season at Downers Grove on Friday. Eventhough the Spartans did not qualify any athlete for the state track meet next week, they competed hard and had personel success. Leading the way for the spartans was Dan Quan. Dan had the highest finish of any spartan with a 3rd place finish in the Pole Vault. Dan finished his romeoville career with a vault of 13'3". The next highest finisher was junior Chris Edmondson. Chris finished in 5th place in the 200m dash. Chris' season ended on a good note. His season best of 23.11 in the 200m was his best time all season. Marco Povilaitis had his best race of the year in the 300m hurdles. He ran 43.96. Even though the spartans did not qualify any events, the future looks bright. Of their 19 individuals that were brought to Downers Grove, 14 will be back because they were Juniors or under. Congratulations to the seniors on a fine season and best of luck with your future plans.
