The Spartan men went into the Warrior invite with half their squad at Prom and came away with good performances all around. Leading the way was our throws events with 2 second place finishes (Kelvin Jones in Discus and Prosper Osinloye in shot put) a fourth place finish(Kelvin Jones in Shot Put) and a 5th place finish (Victor Osinloye in Discus). The long jump saw Malik Riley with a career best mark of 19'7" and 3rd place. D'Lante Dawson competed in the sprints before incurring a quad strain. The distance crew continues to improve ever week. Mike Samuelson cut 12 seconds off of his 3200m run with a time of 10:24.93 and Luis Loza ran the 1600m and cut 14 seconds off of his career pr with a 4:37. Christian Ambrosio also cut 2 seconds off of his 400m time with a 57.9. Also competing on the night was freshman Jordan Nettles in the varsity 4 x 100. He performed admirably with a 10.8 split on the team that ran 45.72. THe spartans travel to Oswego east on monday against the host wolves and Plainfield North tigers.
