Spartans finish in 3rd place at the Bolingbrook fast times meet.

The Spartans traveled down the road on Saturday to compete in the Bolingbrook fast times meet at Lewis University.  The Spartans unofficially placed third in the meet, behind Lincoln-Way east and Benet Academy. Leading the way for the Spartans was:

1^st Place

Joe Otchere 55m(6.59) & 200m (23.16), both career PR’s

Capri Stewart 400m (52.84)

Enoch Antwi Triple Jump (41’6.5”) Career PR and just a freshman

2^nd Place

Capri Stewart 200m (23.69)

Amiri Buchanan Shot Put (46’8.5”)

3^rd Place

Xavier Jones Long Jump (20’4”)

Setting new PR’s in the meet for their season or career were: Carlos Ibanez (1600m) 4:51.45, Elvis Quiroz (800m) 2:12.30, Manuel Buendia (800m) 2:16.98, Thomas Rocha (3200m) 11:43.69 and Leo Perez (3200m) 11:53.23.  Spartans host Joliet West and Providence on Tuesday, March 28^th at 4pm, in the stadium.
