Spartans have a very productive day at SPC indoor CHampionships

The Romeoville Spartans traveled to Lewis University this past Saturday to compete in the Southwest Prairie Indoor Conference championships.  The Varsity team finished in 8^th place with a total of 35 points.  The frosh/soph team finished in 5^th place with a total of 53.5 points.

Leading the way in scoring for the varsity were:

Joe Otchere 3^rd place 55m dash (6.66 pr)

Xavier Jones 3^rd place long jump (20’8.5” pr) & 3^rd in triple jump (43’3.5”)

4^th place 4 x 200m relay (Otchere, Kofi Owusu, Birley Johnson & Capri Stewart) 1:34.77

Capri Stewart 6^th place 200m dash (23.77)

Dan Ford 7^th place 1600m run (4:39.04)

Sir Muhammad 7^th Place triple jump (41’7” Career pr)

Midhun Ajikumar 7^th place 400m (54.40 PR)

Enoch Antwi 1^st place Long Jump (19’8.25” PR) and 3^rd place triple jump (38’6” PR)

Amiri Buchanan 1^st place shot Put (46’9”)

Jayden Green 3^rd place long jump(18’8.5” pr), 5^th place 55m dash (6.85 PR), 6^th place 200m (25.30 pr)

4 x 200m 5^th place (LaPriese Myles-Watson, Tyler Rehbock, Green and Antwi) 1:41.65

Leslie Nartey high jump (5’3”)

Joe Quirk 6^th place Shot Put (39’5”)

4 x 400m ( Jacoby Jones, Tyler Rehbock, Michael Thomas, Leo Perez) 3:57.69

The Spartans travel back to Lewis University next weekend for the Bolingbrook fast times meet.
