The Spartans picked a dual meet for Friday the 20th against the Porter's of Lockport. The team came away with several personal bests. Leading the way for the Spartans with 2 wins on the varsity were Marcos Povilaitis (55m HH 8.25/400 m 56.3) and D'Lante Dawson (55m 6.62/200 m 24.65). Also coming away with wins were:
Ian Irvine 800m: 2:12.87, Matt Bush 1600m : 4:54.49, Malik Riley Long Jump: 20'2", Ibuku Akandea High Jump 5'6".
2nd place finishes were:
Joe Otchere (PR) 55m 6.74, Carlos Ibanez 800m 2:14.3, Dave Andrews 1600 5:03.94, Joe Otchere 200m 25.34, Victor Osinloye Shot Put (PR) 48'8", Antwone Burge Long Jump (PR) 18'7" and Triple Jump 36'8.25".
3rd place finishes:
Justin Suits 800m 2:15.17, Anthony Vodicka 1600m 5:07.7, Bobby Tello 200m 25.54, Kelvin Jones Shot Put 48'1", Ibuku Akandea triple jump 35'9".
The Spartans earned more PR's on the Frosh/soph level as well. Birley Johnson had 3 PR's,16'11"in Long Jump, 7.0 in the 55m and 26.20 in the 200m. Xavier Jones had 3 P's as well, 6.65 in the 55m, 19'1" in long jump and 40'4" in triple jump. Tyree Allen had 2 PR's, Shot Put 33'6" and 25.46 in the 200. Daytwone Burge also came away with 2 PR's, Triple jump 39'10" and 55m HH 9.15. Dan Ford had a PR in the 4 x 800 and then came back with an open PR and a win in the 800. Davon Maxey ad a PR in the shot put 38'10". Midhun Ajikumar had a come from behind win in the 400 with a season and career PR of 1:00. Jalen Lynch coming off of an emergency appendectomy to run a 7.0 in the 55 and a 27.83 in the 200. Tre Harbert also had 3 PR's, Triple jump 32'7", High Jump 5'4" and 15'9" in long jump.
