Spartans compete at the PNTrack Invitational

On Saturday, the Spartans competed at the PNTrack.com invitational.  The Spartans finished in 8th place out of 16 teams.  Leading the way for the Spartans was a new face on the block.  Jared King placed 2nd in high jump in the first meet of his career.  Jared cleared a height of 6'.  Malik Riley placed in both of his individual events.  In the long jump, he finished in 3rd place with a jump of 20'5".  In triple jump, he finished in 5th place with a jump of 41'2".  Finishing in 4th place was the 4 x 800m relay.  The team consisted of Carlos Ibanez, Ian Irvine, Anthony Vodicka and Justin Suits.  The final placer for the spartans was D'Lante Dawson.  D'Lante finished in 5th place in the 400m Dash with a time 54.5.  Some other strong performances were:

PR's in 55m dash: Xavier Jones 6.70 (made finals), Tyree Allen 6.77

PR in 55m HH: Daytwone Burge 9.59

PR in Triple Jump: Xavier Jones 39'9"

PR in 1600: Justin Suits 4:50, Ian Irvine 4:46, Carlos Ibanez 4:57, Dan Ford 5:24

PR in 3200:  Matt Bush 10:27.17

PR in 800m: Dave Andrews 2:10

PR splits in 4 x 200:  Gavin Harwey 24.85, Anthony Kitchens 25.15

PR in 200m: Tyree Allen 26.06 Antwone Burge 26.3

PR in Shot Put: Victor Osinloye 47'5"

The Spartans next meet will be at home against Lockport Township High School on Friday, March 20th.
