IHSA 2A Boy's Sectionals Recap

On Saturday the cross country team competed in the IHSA 2A Sectional Championship in Metamora. The Crusaders placed 7th as a team, earning a state berth by just 1 point! This is the 8th time in school history and 2nd time in 3 years, a team has advanced to the state finals! Gavin O'Connor won his 3rd race in a row to become just the 3rd sectional champion in school history. Andrew Straley (11th), Oliver Davis (59th), Brian Sheehan (75th), & Aidan Leary (76th) rounded out the scoring. This Saturday, the team will compete at historic Detweiller Park in Peoria. Race time is 12 pm.
