The varsity spartans pulled out a close meet against Plainfield central yesterday. The spartans needed a win in the 4 x 400 and pulled a come from behind victory on the last leg of the relay. The day saw some good marks in the field events, with 4 varsity discus throwers going over 125 feet. 1 varsity long jumper went past 20 feet. 4 varsity shot puters past 43'. The track side posted some good numbers as well. There were 3 sprinters at 23.2 or better in the 200m dash. One 800 runner under 2:09 and 1 miler under 4:57. Overall the spartans had a quality meet while on spring break.

Anthony Balderas 100m (11.0), 200m (22.5), Long jump 20'4"
Armani Bonilla 134'1" in discus and 43'2" in discus
Sophomores Kelvin Jones (shot put 45'11"/ Discus 128'5") and Prosper Osin-Loye (Shot Put 44'5"/ Discus 129'7") had real good days.
