The Spartans braved the weather on Friday to compete at the Gus Scott Invitaional.

The weather was bad on Friday, but the spartans gave it all they had to put in some good competition at the Gus Scott Invite.  Leading the way for the spartans were Anthony Balderas in the 200 (22.59); Dan Quan in the pole vault(13'); Kelvin Jones in shot put (45'9"); Armani Bonilla Shot put (43'11").  The preceding were all 2nd place finishers.  Third place finishers were:  Luis Loza 800m (2:03.71, career best), Anthony Balderas 100m (11.39), Kelvin Jones Discus (125'4"), Mitch LaFond high jump (5'8").  Dave Andrews hit a 14 second PR in the 3200m with a time of 11:44.  Nick Sessoms also hit a season PR in the 3200m with a time of 11:51.31.  All the rest of the performances can be found on the roster pages for each athlete.
