Proviso West VALENTINE RELAYS

Saturday, February 14 2015 - Proviso West Valentine Invite - Isaiah Carpenter

We are building our relay line-ups!!  We had spots to be filled by new athletes and the best is yet to come for our varsity relay squads.  After talking to each athlete they were all over the place with issues they need to clean up and improve upon!  There isn't just one thought or one thing hurting us.  We each have our weaknesses to improve and that will get done moving forward.  What is great is that the coaches and athletes agreed what needs to be worked on to improve and become solid contributors in their performances.  WE are going to move forward as a team and know that each of us need to improve.

Our 4x200's had their highs and lows.  Hand offs were either early or late, and need to improve.  The effort was there.  There is a lot to teach for the sprint relays and we will need time to develop the skill in those events!  The routines you start now could continue if you don't move to make your preperations better!  Continue to focus on improving.  Continue to relay on your team to build you up!!  The sprint squad as well as the team must come together.  Our great contributors were The NEWBIE to varsity, Jerious jackson, Devon Chandler a NEWBIE to track and field and our BEAST, ISAIAH Carpenter.

The 4x400 line ups had some switches and some NEW kids on the block for track and field!!  This event NEEDS TO BE RUN ONE WAY.......ALL OUT!!  Find a moment to kick and that time has to come early enough to bring home a GREAT FINISH!!  WE ARE BUILDING.  Lets see where we can get to for Indoor UEC Championships and beyond!!  Our great 4x400 contributors were JT McGee, Isreal Carpenter and the BEAST Isaiah Carpenter Our workouts and preparations are for the UEC  Indoor Championships.  That is the meet we really prepare for during this part of the season.  Good times will come and BELIEVE!!

The 4x800 line ups were a discussion all week.  We really had to decide who was ready to compete as we are getting new kids in from the end of different sports.  Our workouts and preparations are for the UEC  Indoor Championships.  That is the meet we really prepare for during this part of the season.  I know our distance guys are getting work done.  Good times will come and the competition will IMPROVE DRASTICALLY!!  Great contributors were Brandon VanBogaert, senior, Chris Jo, senior and Joe Hall
