IHSA 2A Sectionals Wrap Up

On Saturday, the cross country team competed in the IHSA sectional championship at historic Detweiller Park in Peoria.  The Crusaders placed 8th overall.  The team was led by medalists Eddie Burke (7th) & Mikey Corcoran (10th).  This was the first time since 2002 that the program has had two runners finish in the top 10.  Also scoring was Sean Deane, Connor Melean, & Charley Duggan.  This weekend concluded the IHSA season. Both Burke & Corcoran would have qualified for the state meet.  However, both athletes received an invitation to race at the Shazam state championship this Saturday in Chillicothe.
