IHSA 2A Regionals Wrap Up

On Saturday, the cross country team competed in the IHSA regional at the Ag. School.  The Crusaders captured their 3rd title in a row and four in the last five years.  The team executed the race strategy to perfection as they beat Richards 31-36.  Eddie Burke and Mikey Corcoran went 1-2 and were named 'All-Regional', with Burke winning the race to defend his 2019 individual championship.  Connor Melean (7th) & Sean Deane (9th) also raced to top 10 finishes.  Freshman Charley Duggan placed 12th with a 32 second PR.  His time now ranks him as the #7 freshman in school history. Charley Walsh (13th) and Sean McNally (14th) secured the victory both beating Richards' 5th man. This Saturday, the 'Running Ugly' Crusaders will travel to historic Detweiller Park in Peoria to race in the IHSA sectional championship.
