IHSA 2A Sectionals Wrap Up

On Saturday, the cross country team competed in the IHSA Sectional at Thornridge. It was cold and the course was muddy, perfect conditions to run ugly.  The team placed third and qualified for the state meet. This is just the sixth time in school history a team has qualified for the state finals. The top performance came from senior Jimmy Maguire who finished tenth overall earning him 'All-Sectional' honors.  Eddie Burke (14th), Mikey Corcoran (16th), Alex MacFarlane (29th) and Charlie Walsh (43rd) rounded out the scoring.  Seniors Harrison Morg (46th) & Jordan Harris (59th) also had strong races.  The team will race in the state championship this Saturday at noon at Detweiller Park in Peoria.
