Spartans finish in 4th place at Stagg Invitational.

The Spartans traveled to Amos Alonso Stagg high school on saturday.  The Spartans finished in 4th place with 74.5 points. Leading the way with event championships were Amiri Buchanan in the shot put, with a throw of 56’5”.  The other event championship was Enoch Antwi in the triple jump with a distance of 44’2”. The Spartans also had two 2nd place finishes as well. Those were:  Distance Medley Relay of Josh Kamuda, Chase Pruett, Cade Racine and Nathan Florendo and Amiri Buchanan in the Discus. Third place finishers were Joel Anyan in the high Jump (5’9”) and the 4 x 100 and the 4 x 200 (43.98 & 1:33.72).  The Spartans travel to Naperville North on friday to compete in the Gus Scott Invitational.
