Spartans open the season with a double win.

The Spartans opened their 2012-13 season with a double win against the celtics and the tigers.  The FInal score was Romeoville 45, Metea Valley 42 and Providence 40.  Leading the way for the Spartans with victories were:

Anthony Balderas in the 55m dash, 6.3. 

Kelvin Jones in shot put 45'10"

4 x 1 Lap relay (Balderas, Miguel Ford, Eric Ibarra, Bobby Tello) 1:17.2

4 x 400 relay (Balderas, Gonzalo Trejo, Eugene Anyan, Kyle Cafferkey) 3:39.2

The Frosh/Soph squad beat Providence but fell to Metea Valley.  THe score was Metea 74, RHS 37, Providence 30.  Leading the way for the young spartans were:

Eric Ibarra in the 55m dash 6.6

Matt Bush in 3200m run 12:08

Christian Bonilla in the 800m, 2:26

4 x 400m relay (Ibarra, Mike Samuelson, Armondo Cortez, Luis Loza) 3:53.
