IHSA 2A Boy's Cross Country Sectional Wrap Up

On Saturday, the cross country team traveled to Metamora for the IHSA 2A Sectional championship. The Crusaders ran great in a close team race to place 4th overall and qualify for the state championship this Saturday at Detweiller Park in Peoria. This is the 7th time in school history that a team has advanced to the state meet. Charley Duggan was the top finisher for the Crusaders taking 11th. Gavin O'Connor had his best race of the year placing 14th. Charlie Walsh (44th) & Andrew Straley (52nd) had strong performances as well. Brian Sheehan (81st) had the best race of his life to round out the scoring and secure the trip to state. Race time this Saturday is 12pm.
