Girls - 2A West Regional Championships

After a tough race, the girls came off the course disappointed.  It didn't feel like they had done what they needed to do to make it to the State Meet as a team which was definitely one of the goals in a region as tough as ours.  When the results came in, they were pleasantly surprised!  Not only did the team qualify to States in the toughest region in the State but they did so with a 3rd place finish and only 5 points off the lead!  Led by Makenzie Hopkins (3rd), Kathryn Hopkins (8th), and Dellaney Georgiana (15th) as individual state qualifiers, the team ran a great race.  Casey Jillson and Brianna Mays finished the scoring side by side at 32nd and 33rd.  Annie Kartalia and Allie Cullison finished again as a pack in 42nd and 43rd.  Good luck to the Falcons next week at the State Championships!
