Girls - Carlisle Invitational

Winters Mill stayed away from the familiar competition and went up to the beautiful course in Carlisle, PA.  Competing against a field of 277 finishing runners and 38 complete teams (some incomplete), the girls made their presence known.  Emma had another strong race with her first ever sub-20 performance in a 12th place finish.  Dellaney put in her best effort of her short career with her first sub-21 performance as well.  Casey and Caroline came in together shortly thereafter.  However, the most important story of the day goes to the #5 and #6 runners, Julia and Annie.  They did what MUST happen in order to be successful in the championship meets in October.  They closed the gap.  They have now placed themselves only 2:10 behind Emma as opposed to 2:40 from the previous meet.  Awesome growth!
