The Romeoville Spartans come away with 5 all conference athletes at the southwest prairie meet

The Spartans traveled to Minooka for the Southwest Prairie championships.  The Spartans came away with 4 all conference athletes.  Leading away for the Spartans with 2 all conference performances was Kelvin Jones.  Kelvin won the discus with a new conference record of 166'7" and then he came back and placed 4th in the shot put.  Luis Loza was the next highest placer for the Spartans.  Luis placed 2nd in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:58.25. Victor Osinloye, who placed 3rd in the discus with a throw of 142'7", was the 3rd all conference performer.The final all conference performer was Marco Povilaitis.  Marco placed 4th in the 300 intermediate hurdles with a time of 41.26.  The Spartans travel to Downers Grove South next Friday for the IHSA Boys Sectional Championships.
