Wheaton Warrenville South
COMPETITION
Enter your best three individuals and one relay team. The meet is an “ABC” format. Your “A” athlete must compete against the other school’s “A” athletes, etc. If an athlete gets hurt during competition, we will scratch the athlete and leave that level open. We will NOT move athletes once the meet is seeded. Entries are closed on Thursday, April 23rd at 6:00 pm, so NO substitutions, only scratches on the day of the meet.
ENTRIES
This year, we will use Athletic.net to register your athletes for the meet. You should have received an email inviting you to the meet from Athletic.net. Athletic.net is a free website. The meet results will also be posted on Athletic.net. If you’re entering a FAT time, record the time, then put an “a” after. For example, 23.94a. If you don’t put the “a”, the website will think this is a hand time and will convert the time using NFHS rules of rounding and then adding 0.24 seconds to the time.
SCORING
10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 for all events for each class. Each level is scored separately, then added together for a total team score. Again, your “A” athlete must compete against the other schools “A” athletes, etc. If you only have two, then you fill the A & B levels.
AWARDS
Awards are medals for all 6 places at each level. Awards and results can be picked up in the press box after the meet.
COACHES MEETING
There will be a coaches and workers meeting at 4:15 p.m. in the garage by the shot put ring.
