Indoor CCL Championships Recap

On Sunday, the track & field team competed in the Catholic League Indoor Championship at Gately Stadium.  The Crusaders won the team title for just the 2nd time in school history.  Event champions on the day included Al Crema in the shot put, Dan Speski in the pole vault, Jimmie Maxson in the long jump, Gavin O'Connor in the 320m, & Andrew Straley in the 1600m.  Earning 2nd place finishes & setting an indoor school record were Emeir White in the 200m and the 4x200 relay of White, Donovan Brown, Maxson, & Damari Thigpen.  Event champions at the FS level were Markel Morris in the high hurdles and the 4x200 relay of Jameson Davis, Klarc Taylor, Morris, & Decatur Washington.  This Saturday, 7 athletes will compete in the 'Illinois Indoor Championship.'
