Fenwick/Leo/Rice Tri Meet Wrap Up

On Saturday the cross country team took part in a triangular meet against Fenwick & Leo.  The varsity lost a close battle 27-28.  Eddie Burke took the lead from the gun and led wire to wire to earn the individual championship.  Mikey Corcoran (3rd), Sean Deane (7th), Connor Melean (8th), & Charlie Walsh (9th) rounded out the scoring. Deane, Melean & Sean McNally all ran personal bests.  In the JV race, the Crusaders were victorious.  The top finisher was Charley Duggan who placed third and dropped 48 seconds off his previous best time.  Other personal bests were turned in by Danny Macis, Tommy Witt, Troy Bever & Antonio Fox.  The team has a bye week before returning to action Saturday, September 19th at Loyola.
