Men's Cross Country Squad 17th at Greater Louisville Classic

(LOUISVILLE, Ky., Sept. 29)—The McKendree University men's cross country team turned in a 17^th-place performance Saturday at the Greater Louisville Classic.
 
The Bearcats competed in a field of 46 teams in the Blue Division of the Greater Louisville Classic. Junior Elkana Kipsang(Eldoret, Kenya/Legebet) had the highest finish for any McKendree men's runner on the day as he took 32^nd overall. Kipsang covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 23:36.72. Junior Blake DeLong (Hillsboro, IL/Hillsboro) was 53^rdoverall in 25:52.65.
 
McKendree will return to action next Saturday (Oct. 6) at the Rose-Hulman Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind.
