Women's Cross Country Team Earns Seventh-Place Finish at Richard Clark Invite

FINAL RESULTS

(SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Sept. 15)—The McKendree University women's cross country team raced to a seventh-place finish Saturday morning at the Richard Clark Invitational, which was hosted by Missouri State University.
 
Six of the 10 teams in the field were NCAA Division II institutions. McKendree finished fourth of those six institution on the day. Wichita State University was the overall winner, followed by the University of Central Missouri and host Missouri State University.
 
Individually, junior Hannah Inyart (Belleville, IL/Belleville East) had the highest finish for a McKendree runner in the event. Inyart was 34th overall as she covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 20:09. Junior Lauren Ewart (Troy, IL/Triad) was 42nd in 20:43, while junior Megan Doty (Collinsville, IL/Triad) also earned a top-50 finish by taking 47th overall in a time of 20:49.
 
McKendree will return to action Sept. 29 at the Greater Louisville Classic in Kentucky.
