Young Spartans lead the charge of personel PR's at the Nalley

One wiley veteran led a host of young guns to a day of personel or season bests at the 46th annual Carlin Nalley invitational.  The SPartans scored 17 points but earned some benificial experience running against quality competition.  Dan Quan vaulted to a new career best of 13'3".  He led the rest of his team to some quality marks.

 

Luis Loza ran a career best of 2:00.34 in the 800m.  Eric Ibarra ran a career best 51.85 in the 400m.  Matt Bush ran a career best of 11:06 in the 3200m run.  Mike Samuelson ran a season best of 4:45 in the 1600m.  The varsity 4 x 800 team consisting of 3 sophomores and 1 freshman ran a season best of 8:36.75.  The team consisted of Mike Samuelson, Armondo Cortez, Luis Loza and Christian Bonilla.  The 4 x 100 consisting of 3 sophomores and 1 junior ran a quality time of 44.49, placing 4th.  The team consisted of Chris Edmondson, Eric Ibarra, Bobby Tello and Akachi Ajieri.  Both sophomore throwers continued to keep thier throws above 45 feet.  Kelvin Jones threw 46'2" and Prosper Osin-Loye took 6th place with a throw of 46'8"

 

The Spartans travel to plainfield south for the Southwest Prairie Conference meet on thursday.
