Indoor CCL Championships Recap

On Friday night, the track & field team competed in the CCL Indoor Championships at Gately Stadium.  The Crusaders came home victorious as they won their 3rd straight CCL title.  Event champions were Matt Pikus in the shot put & Andrew Straley in both the 3200m & 1600m.  2nd place performances were turned in by Dan Speski in the pole vault, Emeir White in the 200m & the 4x200 relay team of White, Speski, Damari Thigpen, & Carlton Gordon III.  Also earning All CCL honors for 3rd place finishes were Marius Adenso in the shot put, Jameer Murphy in the hurdles, along with Speski in the 60m & White in the long jump.  This Saturday will conclude the indoor season with the 'Illinois Indoor Championships' back at Gately Stadium.
