Bearcats Post Two Team Top-10 Finishes at GLVCs

On Friday, February 28th and Saturday, March 1st, the men and women's teams traveled to University of Indianapolis to compete in the GLVC Indoor Championship. The men's team finished 6th overall in the standings, while the women placed 7th. The highlight of the meet came when LaTia Jefferson was named GLVC Athlete of the Year for the 2014 Indoor Season.

For the men's side, the top performances were turned in by senior Jordon Henderson as he returned to defend his crown and sophomore Cameron James, who finished first and second in the 60 meters. CJ went on to finish runner-up in both the 60m and 200m and was the highest finishing underclassman in each. Other scorers included sophomore Donovan Friscia, senior Blake DeLong, redshirt freshman Alex Fritch, true freshman Andrew Ernest, and the 4x400 relay team.

For the women, senior LaTia Jefferson had the performance of the meet by finishing first in the triple jump and third in the long jump. Also scoring for the women were sophomore Lynn Ford, senior Megan Doty, sophomore Hannah Wilhelm, and the DMR team.

Next up for the Bearcats will be the NCAA DII Indoor National meet in North Carolina.
