LaTia Jefferson GLVC Athlete of the Week

McKendree University senior LaTia Jefferson has been selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Track and Field Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. Her performance at the Indiana Relays tying her for 6th place, setting a personal best, and establishing an NCAA Provisional qualifying mark of 11.72 meters in the triple jump was enough to set her atop the conference.

Jefferson becomes the first McKendree women's indoor field athlete to collect GLVC weekly honors since Kristin Wykoff (Highland, IL/Triad), who picked up the honor nearly one year ago on Feb. 13, 2013. This is the first time in her career that Jefferson has been honored by the GLVC.
