Women's 4x400 places 15th on day two at NCAA Championships

ALLENDALE, Mich. – The women's 4x400-meter relay team opened day two of the 2015 NCAA  Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a 15th-place finish on Friday evening.

Another close finish wouldn't swing in favor of the Vikings as the women's 4x400-meter relay team finished 15th with only the top-nine teams qualifying for the finals tomorrow. With a time of 3:47.34, Anne ParsleyCharissa EtrheimCarina Hofmeister, and Kayla Mescher finished sixth in the second heat but came up short to advance to Saturday-night's final and their record-breaking season came to an end on Friday at the national meet.

"It was a decent day but we finished a little off our ranking going in," head coach Tracy Hellman said. "Overall it was a great season by our women's 4x400-meter relay squad and we had a lot of memorable things happen this season." 

Leah Seivert and Paul Yak will close out the final day of the 2015 NCAA Championships on Saturday. Seivert will open the day in the women's 5,000-meter run with a start time of 4 p.m. (CT).
