GIRLS CONFERENCE TRACK MEET

ENTRIES:            Entries must be entered into Kompusport.net   Attached are your schools password and instructions for your entries. Note: If you have a frosh/soph athete competing in at both levels, then they need to enter that athlete twice once for varsity and once for frosh/soph. 

SEEDING:            We will have a seed meeting on Wednesday, May 6th at 7:00 pm in the YHS Athletic Office.  You will be given a performance list of your entries and at that time you will be allowed to make changes.

SCRATCHES:            All coaches are to report to the back gym at the stadium to pick up meet packets.  We will have a scratch meeting at 4pm.  All other scratches should be made with the clerk of the course as soon as possible.

WEIGH-IN OF SHOT, DISCUS AND POLE VAULTERS:

                        Shots, discus and pole-vaulters will be weighed and checked prior to 4:30 start in the sports garage.

TRACK:            Yorkville High School is an all-weather, 8 lane, 400m track.

4:30 Field Events: Varsity = 3 attempts in prelims.  Top 9 to finals.  3 attempts in finals

                              F/S = 4 attempts, no finals.

Shot: Varsity first followed by F/S

SHOES: Track & Field events require ¼” spikes or flats.  Shot and discus are concrete surfaces

LOCKER ROOMS: Please bring your athletes ready to participate since no dressing facilities will be available.

LIMITATIONS: Each school is limited to two contestants in each track and field event.  An individual is limited to four events.  Varsity and F/S levels will be run.

FIELD EVENTS: Shot, discus, long and triple jump – Varsity 3 attempts.  Top 9 go to the finals for three  more attempts.  F/S will have 4 total attempts.  Top 6 place.

SCORING: Points for all events will be 10-8-6-4-2-1. Two Divisions F/S and Varsity will be scored separately.

CONCESSIONS:  The concession stand will be open throughout the meet.

BUSES: Drop off in the south of the stadium. Park in the bus loop.  

We would like to have coaches be the official of each of the field events. These do not need to be head coaches.   We can exchange assignments at the seeding meeting if needed. We do have 2 workers hired to run each field event.
